Sangeeta Mishra
Academic Editor and Writing Consultant
I taught at various colleges and universities for several years. While teaching, I realized that there is a need for my services beyond what the university offers. Much to the insistence of my colleagues whose papers and manuscripts I often edited, I now offer my editing services to academics and students globally. I now enjoy working with faculty, independent scholars, emeritus faculty, and academic publishers, and graduate students to help them articulate their ideas, finalize their manuscripts, and edit, edit, and edit for publishing or presenting. I also work with graduate students seeking editing services for theses, dissertations, or scholarship application materials.
I have a Master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master of Arts in political science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. I taught at colleges and universities for over 15 years. Most recently I taught as a supervision instructor in ancient Ancient Greek Philosophy (AGP) for students studying Classics at Cambridge University in England. I have been a mentor to both students and colleagues helping them to hone and to publish their research projects as well as offering them academic support and assistance.
When editing, I seek to make manuscripts clear, precise, and consistent, yet also retain the writer's style. Although my academic background is in the humanities and social sciences, I have edited papers and manuscripts in the fields of business, education, engineering, and in computer science as well. I greatly enjoy making ideas communicable.
